Electrical Inspector

Job Purpose

To inspect and ensure quality of all electrical installations and equipment on ACWA Power project sites in Uzbekistan, in compliance with approved drawings, international standards, project specifications, and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect electrical works at different stages to ensure compliance with design, quality, and safety standards.

• Review and verify inspection requests, test results, and as-built drawings.

• Ensure compliance with IEC, IEEE, and Uzbek regulations.

• Identify non-conformities, issue NCRs, and follow up corrective actions.

• Witness and document testing of cables, panels, transformers, and switchgear.

• Coordinate with QA/QC, HSSE, construction teams, contractors, and subcontractors.

• Monitor inspection progress to avoid construction delays.

• Participate in punch list preparation and handover activities.

Health & Safety

• Comply with company and national HSE and fire safety regulations.

• Identify hazards and support continuous improvement of the HSE system.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

• 3–5 years of experience in electrical inspection, QA/QC, or supervision in large-scale energy or infrastructure projects.

Skills & Knowledge

• Knowledge of IEC, IEEE, NEC and other electrical standards.

• Experience with QA/QC procedures, ITPs, and inspections.

• Ability to read electrical drawings and single-line diagrams.

• Knowledge of electrical testing procedures and equipment.

• Strong communication and reporting skills.

• Good English; Uzbek and/or Russian is an advantage.
